Leider ist der ganze Motor ein Problem. Ich hatte vor vielen Jahren selber eine 450S. 4 Jahre alt, sprang hundsmiserabel an, kaum Leistung, soff wie ein Loch und gab mit 50000 Kilometern den Löffel ab. Mein Fazit: nie wieder. Danach eine neue CB1 gekauft. Sparsam, zuverlässig, kraftvoll und 210000 km in 17 Jahren ohne Probleme abgespult.

Ein guter erfahrener Fahrer fährt seinen Motor erst warm und dreht ihn niemals kalt in den roten Bereich. Ebenso ist das sinnlose Hochdrehen im Leerlauf für mich der absolute knock out. Bist wahrscheinlich noch ein junger Kerl. Die Erkenntnisse haben noch Zeit zum reifen.

le VTR est LA moto... aprés avoir chassé un 1000 R1, un 1190 KTM, un Diavel... avec mon "pov'petit" VTR firestorm.... sur routes ouvertes, mode TT... woula la violence du VTR, aucun de ces véhicules en mode incroyable n'a réussit à me fumer. le vtr a toujours été là, avant tout le monde... le VTr est un machine de guerre. si tu veux défier la violence, je suis d'accord 06076701221

I sold my BUZZY CBR 600F ULTIMA LIGHT 2000 model, last of the carburetted CBR`s for this a 1997 sub 20,00 miles all original bike, and I absolutely love it. It pulls from 1,000 rpm right up to the red line but you don`t need to do this:) as you can break the UK speed limit in first at these revs. The bike steers into corners and out as good as the CBR 600 and feels about the same weight, BUT the similarity end there! The bike has fantastic engine braking(similar to my little Honda VFR 400RR, Back in the day)so if you select the right gear for a bend the engine holds the bike steady and true through the bend and as you see the exit to the corner open up, you can roll on the STOMP and I do mean the STOMP it puts a lot of modern day machines in a spin as the engine is not reliant on high revs and responds very quickly to throttle input due to the Massive carbs I guess lol:) The bike is a little awkward in town traffic and causes me a little stress as any speed below 30mph causes me to slip the clutch(Hydraulic clutches are ok but I don`t think any of them are any lighter than the cable variety?) when manoeuvring and banked over going around a roundabout as the bike is not happy being bogged down in the gears below 3,000 rpm.(will try and match/set throttle speed in dry weather as I don`t like effectively coasting around roundabouts!) Fantastic machine and a fantastic mile muncher apart from the dreaded milage 30-35 mpg(: I am not sure what my top end is as I just love the pull off from the traffic lights and short shift, but I can assure you I am more than happy with the performance as other road users disappear in my mirrors.
